Not a tea bag in hot water — real masala chai, simmered with cardamom, clove, and fresh ginger until it's strong, warming, and a little spiced. The proper end to a North Indian lunch.

Chai, done right, is brewed — not steeped. We simmer strong black tea with whole spices and fresh ginger so the flavor is deep and the warmth carries. It's the cup you'd be handed in any North Indian home.

What's in it

Strong black tea, green cardamom, clove, and fresh ginger, brewed together. The ginger gives it a gentle warmth that's especially good on a grey Eastside afternoon.

How it's made

We brew it fresh rather than holding it on a burner, so it doesn't turn bitter or stewed. It's meant to be drunk soon after it's poured.

Good to know

Is it sweet?
It comes lightly sweetened in the traditional style. Let us know if you'd like it less sweet or unsweetened.
Does it have caffeine?
Yes — it's made with strong black tea, so it has a real caffeine kick.
Is it spicy?
It's warming from the ginger and cardamom rather than chili-spicy. The spice is aromatic, not hot.
Does it travel well for pickup?
It's best fresh and hot. If you're picking up, plan to drink it soon — chai doesn't love sitting around.
